The Riojan studio Play Arquitectura has won the competition for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the property where the National Police was located on Doctores Castroviejo street No. 9. The objective of the competition is rehabilitate the building to house units of the General State Administration and save on the lease costs of other currently occupied buildings.

The competition, called by the Ministry of Finance and Public Administrations, was awarded on May 28 and a total of 21 architecture teams presented themselves, mostly from Madrid.
